... And The Winner Is
Simon Russell, the lucky winner of the Fathom diving DSMBs in the club prize draw. The lovely folks at Fathom Diving gave us a pack of DSMBS as their sponsorship prize for our recent feature article in Scuba Magazine. The club decided the best way for everyone to get a chance to share these goodies was to run a raffle with the proceeds going to club funds. The prize was donated by Carol Wood who wrote the article with support from club members and the draw raised £90.00 for the club.
Try Dive for Sian Ryan Memorial Event
iDive donated two try dive vouchers as proposed by Karl Lucas Harness in support of a local fund raising event for Sian Grace Ryan to celebrate her life.
The 16-year-old had a bright future ahead of her as a footballer who was already taking part in trials for England and Ipswich Town when she died in the horror crash on the A14. The tragic accident occurred at Nacton on August 17 2009.
She had a promising life ahead of her as a top flight footballer before her life was devastatingly cut short in a car crash.

Weybourne Dive Trip
An excellent weekends diving organised by John Cook and Paul Mann at one of our local dive sites. The weather was perfect and the sea was flat.
This site is suitable for all diver grades. We launch the club’s small inflatable boat manually over the shingle beach at Weybourne in North Norfolk in order to dive a rather pretty shallow wreck called the Rosalie about 400m West of the beach access. The Rosalie was beached after hitting a mine and so is now a rather shallow dive of up to about 10m, but covered in anemones, patrolled by fish and teeming with all sorts of life.
